Scuba diving Club, Whitstable swimming pool

CLUB FBD was started so divers of all levels could get together, and do what they do best - dive and talk about diving.

It's not only qualified divers that are welcome, if you've never tried scuba diving then come along and challenge yourself with a Try Dive.

Once you're qualified, it's completely free to be a part of CLUB FBD, - there are no membership fees. There are however some small charges for kit hire, pool fees etc - please see price list below.

We meet at Whitstable Pool on the last Thursday of every month at 8.30pm, and on the last Saturday of every month at 5.30pm.

Pool sessions will generally have a theme to them so come along and if you want to, you can learn a new skill or brush up on old ones. Check out the current program of pool sessions planned by clicking here

Of course these are optional so if you just want to get in and please your self that is fine. Please see POOL SESSION PHOTOS in our gallery.

The main objectives of CLUB FBD is to provide a base so divers old and new have somewhere to meet new people, find a buddy, talk about equipment, swap stories etc. When you find a sport like Scuba Diving, it can be a bit -consuming, so it's nice to have like-minded people to talk to, rather than boring your non-diving friends and family members.

We organise UK trips, and try to go abroad at least once a year, so why not come with us and dive with friends. The other reason for having regular club nights is so as a diver you can keep your skills up to date, and learn new ones as well.

Diving is like anything else, you need to practice it otherwise you can get a bit rusty. It is a great feeling arriving at your dive destination, knowing your buoyancy and practical skills have recently been refreshed, so you have the confidence to approach it in a safe and relaxed manner.

Please see WHITSTABLE SWIMMING POOL SCUBA DIVING SESSIONS to find out what is happening on what dates.

Below are our prices for coming to the pool;

Beginners If you - or someone you know - have never tried diving then it will cost £15.00 - this includes equipment hire charges.

Qualified, but need equipment - If you are a qualified diver of any level, and need to hire some of our equipment it will cost £10.00

Qualified, but using own equipment - If you are a qualified diver of any level and have all your own equipment it will cost £5.00

Scuba Review - If you are a qualified diver of any level, haven't been diving in a while and need a skills refresher, you will need to complete a Scuba Review. This will cost £45.00 - and includes equipment hire.
