Discover Scuba - your first try-dive in scuba diving
So, do you want to try Scuba Diving? Why not come to a FiftyBar Diving
class at Whitstable Pool in Kent, and take one of our PADI Try-Dives in a fun and friendly environment. You will be briefed on how
scuba equipment works, given essential safety points - and then it's time to get in and try breathing underwater for the first time
Your Discover Scuba session will last for about an hour, in which time you will have gained confidence, had some fun, and embarked on the first step
to becoming a qualified PADI diver
SCUBA DIVE CLUB nights are an ideal time (but not the only time) to try, as there will be other divers around to chat to
- you will get to know them and have a chance to learn of their PADI diving
experiences.
As you get further into diving, you will discover that there is a common link that gives divers something to talk about no matter where you are in the world. We all started sometime, and can clearly remember
the first time we entered into the fascinating world of diving. - so you will be in good company
On completion of your first PADI Try-Dive, you are welcome to come back and try
again as many times as you wish - or you can take the next step, into the
PADI Open Water course, or the
PADI Open Water Referral course. The
Referral course is ideal for when you want to start diving on your overseas
holiday as soon as you arrive, and don't want to waste valuable holiday time
learning necessary dive theory in a classroom. You can do that part here in
Whitstable, Kent, and then the second part of the course can be completed on
holiday, by taking your
PADI Open Water Referral Certificate
with you to an overseas PADI Dive Centre
To take part in a Discover Scuba session all you need is
:
a . to be in reasonable health and
b. be over 10 years old
For under 10's you need to take part in a Bubblemaker session, which is for children aged 8-10
Under 16's will have to be accompanied by an adult
