Course / General information

Within this page you will find some general information that should answer some of the common questions, regarding the courses we run, our commitment to you, your commitment to us, what you will need to bring and any other relevant information that may not be included on the individual course pages.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Courses

All courses are conducted within Padi (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) standards and guidelines; we endeavour to make the courses professional, fun and enjoyable to all.

We will provide the customer with every opportunity to complete the course within the allotted time, but should the required standard not be achieved by the end of the course, we will discuss with you some options to help you improve and further sessions will be priced depending on tuition required.

Prior to starting a course with us you will need to have completed:

  • Padi Medical Form (Downloaded from our website)
  • Course Booking Form (Downloaded from our website)
  • Completed Green Folder (supplied with Course Crew Pack)
  • Course Knowledge Reviews (Located at the end of each chapter within your manual)
  • Paid Deposit Plus any Postage and Packing Required for sending Crew Packs

During all courses you will be supplied with full working equipment for the duration of your course, this is included within your course costs.

Courses are conducted on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings at Whitstable Swimming Pool with the theory sessions starting at 7.30pm and the water work from 9pm. Knowledge Reviews must be completed prior to these theory sessions, as failure to do so will reduce your allotted water time and slow down the course for everybody involved. The duration of the individual courses will be found within the pages for the particular course required.

You will need to bring with you for each session, your crew packs, swimming costumes, towel and any personal diving equipment you may have, i.e. mask / snorkel

Open Water sections of the courses are undertaken at either Leybourne Lakes (Maidstone) or Stoney Cove (Leicester) however depending on the type of course these venues may change. Entrance Fees for all courses are not included in the course prices.

Open Water days are flexible and usually scheduled at weekends, meeting at Whitstable Swimming pool around 8.30am (Leybourne) and 6am (Stoney Cove) to help load the equipment and sort out transport, (Transport is down to the individual but usually people share lifts to spread costs)You will need to bring your Crew Packs and Logbook, swimming equipment, towel, some refreshments, (all diving equipment provided, including wetsuits) and entrance fees (£7.50 Leybourne, £15 Stoney Cove).

Use of our Equipment is provided on the understanding that it is returned in the same condition as it was loaned, please check over your kit prior to use and before returning to us.
